Here's how PIN it works

We use a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to verify your address and protect your personal information.
  • When your account balance first reaches the verification threshold, we'll mail a PIN to the payment address in your account.
  • Once we've sent you a PIN, we'll hold all payments until you've entered that PIN in your account. While you're waiting for it to arrive, you can still access your account, show ads, and accrue earnings.
  • When you receive your PIN, enter it in your account following the instructions on the PIN mailer. You'll have 180 days to enter your PIN.
  • If you don't receive your PIN, you can request a replacement.
If you do not enter a PIN within 180 days, your account will be disabled and your earnings refunded to the appropriate advertisers.

When will I receive my PIN?

Once your account balance reaches the verification threshold, your PIN will be generated and sent via first class mail within 3-5 days. You can view the date it is generated by clicking the Please enter your PIN link on your Payment History page. After your PIN is mailed, you should expect it to arrive within 2-4 weeks, but it may take longer to reach you depending on the postal service in your location.
If you do not receive your PIN, you can request a replacement PIN 3 weeks after the previous PIN is generated.
You might also wish to learn how long it typically takes publishers in your area to receive their PINs. You can find out by visiting the AdSense Help Forum, where AdSense publishers share their knowledge and experiences. You can feel free to post your own questions and search or browse for answers about receiving PINs.
